The Middle of Nowhere Festival has been offering a weekend of great live music in the middle of the Staffordshire countryside for a decade.
While the festival has moved venue several times, it has always offered a fantastic mix of blues, rock, country and more, alongside a warm, friendly welcome to all. In 2012 the event moved to its new home, Lower Drayton Farm near Penkridge in Stafford, where farmers Ray and Val are working closely with Hazzard Promotions to help ensure the event retains its unique vibe while getting bigger and better year on year.
Over the years...
Highlights over the years have included The Heights pulling out all the stops to get to the festival in time for their set having spent the afternoon supporting Feeder in Pontypridd, South Wales – we’re not sure how they did it, but they arrived just in time to play a blistering set! The band went on to tour the world and play festival giants like Glastonbury and SXSW in Texas – so this can be a great place to spot acts on the way up!
We are also privileged that acts enjoy the Fest and are happy to return – Are You Experienced, renowned at the No 1 Jimmy Hendrix Tribute, returned in 2013 and in 2012 we were very privileged to play host to have The Little Big Band; made up of top musicians that played with some of the biggest names in music. The Jalapenos and Virgil and the Accelerators also stood out among the great acts that have graced the Middle of Nowhere Music Festival stage.
What to expect...
